Trolling Motor

Has anyone ever bent the shaft on their trolling motor slightly? I did it a couple of weeks ago leaving it down on the take off like an idiot. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had ever been able to fix it, maybe bend it back somehow, or know someone that could fix it . It is a Motorguide 87lb thrust and it is very hard to turn when running about halfway turned up.

I bent my a couple of weeks ago on a stump(it jumped right in front of me) Take it to john swallows at ETM (423-479-7816) He can fix it.

John Swallows fixed my MG this Feb and had it back in three days and works like a charm,shaft was bent pretty good and he serviced it while he had it apart at no charge,top notch guy

John has my spare TM right now fixing it. It also has a bent shaft.

When I had a Motorguide the bent shaft was a regular occurance. I switched to MinnKota for that reason and have had 4 boats with MinnKotas and never had a major shut me down problem.
