TROLLING MOTOR

I HAVE A 43LBS , WHAT AMPS. WILL IT PULL. IM REWIRING MY TROLLING MOTOR BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS PUT TO SMALL OF A WIRE FOR IT , THY HAD #8 WIRE TO A #12 WIRE . IT SHORTED OUT, IM PUTTING IN #6 AWG WIRE FOR THE T-MOTOR, I DID TO NOW ABOUT THE AMPS IT PULL. emoScratch emoScratch emoQuestion

I'd say about 40amps plus or minus 5. I'd go with at least 6AWG wire. Anything smaller and you are risking burning something up. Also larger wire runs cooler so any heat generated by tiny wire is just wasted battery.

#6 will work fine but remember to use marine grade wire. It will hold up better and longer than something you might buy at Lowe's.
