Hey folks,
Just moved to the area and had a question for ya'll. I heard a rumor about a great creek to drift-fish for trout somewhere up towards Manchester. I heard real shallow, kinda slow current, lots of trout if you have a duck boat or kayak. Any ideas where this may be?
Thanks

They may have been talking about the little sequatchie river in the small town of Sequatchie, this is in Marion county and is close to Jasper, it is a trout stream and I guess you could talk to some of the landowners who own the property on each side of this stream to let you put your boat in and drift fish it.

There is another small stream close to Manchester, this is below Normandy dam, it is around 50 feet wide, might be the place you are talking about.

There are many trout streams/rivers near Manchester. It may have been the Elk river below Tims Ford Dam. Or maybe the Collins River, Rocky River or a few others that you can float. There are several good put and take streams in Warren County to wade fish. There is also a fav' of mine near Spencer, TN called Cane Creek.
The very best of all streams in that is the Caney Fork River after it flows from the Center Hill Dam.
I will try to find a link re. Caney Fork fishing.
