i by my tn licens at the first of the year i dont normalie get a trout stamp ten i was in vited to go fishing with a friend and was told that i could not buy a stamp i had to buy a 3 day all fish or buy my hole licens again pluse the trout stamp witch was 81dollers can any one tell me the rulesemoBawl emoThanks

I think by reading what you said that you are a non-resident and I am going to assume that the license you bought at the first of the year is no longer valid as of 2/29/08 or it was a 3 or 10 day license. In order to fish for trout as a non-resident you will need to buy a 3 day, 10 day, or annual all fish license. If you have more questions please call one of the regional offices or check out the TN Fishing Guide online at www.tnwildlife.org

The regional office numbers are also listed on the website. For the Chattanooga area is it Region 3 and the # is 1-800-262-6704.

Annual TN licenses run from March 1st to Feb 28 of the next year. eg. 3/1/08 - 2/28/09.If you purchased an annual license on Jan 1/08, then it will expire on Feb 28/08. If you fish for trout, you must buy a trout license. If not and you accidently catch a trout while fishing for something else, you must release the trout immediately. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

yes this i understand what i want to know is why i cant buy a stamp to fish for trout for the rest of the year i have allready bought the annual licences it ran n me 41 dollers emoAngry emoQuestion
