This post is from a while ago, but I really want some HOFers on here myself. This post, I got 2 with one brown being borderlined, IMO. Anyways, I was chunking huge, articulated streamers. Think of the biggest trout streamer you have ever seen, than add another one to that one the same size. Really big. I should post one. The rainbow was 22 inches and fat. weighted 4.5lbs, a definite hall of famer. The brown was 18-19 and was in spawning colors still. The beauty of the trip was the 14 inch brook trout, all decked out in his finest attire for a swim out on the redds. He was the most stunningly beautiful freshwater fish i have ever caught. And he was also 5 inches longer than need be for the HOF ;)

Sorry it's not a TARP, wasn't caught in TN.

However, boy would I love to catch one that big!!!!! regardless of if I could get a TARP Certificate.

Those northern strain brook trout get huge! I have a friend who goes up there every year, not for trout, but he always catches 5 and 6 pound brooks. Freakish up there

Those are some really great fish, no matter what state they were caught in! I think I could be a good student for seeing the steamer fished.
What's even more impressive is the pressure that area gets and the things dangled in front of their face. Great report and very glad to see someone posting where I find myself often since moving to Asheville.

NC does have it's own "TARP" type program, here's the link to where it is and what the measurements required for such recognition. http://www.ncwildlife.org/Fishing/Fish_NCARP.htm

As for a long time CFF'er... this definitely a fishing trip you could do in a day, as I have done so myself! Just never did as well. And you are right... that Brook is a beautiful fish!
