I am running a 26 trophy on a bullet. I thought about going to a turbo txp ot 4 blade. Should I stay with a 26 or go with a 25, since the diameter is larger. Any help would be appreicated, Thanks Mitch.

What is a 2O vee? I'm not a huge fan of any txp if you are looking for speed. The trophy will be faster. You will have to go down at least 1" in pitch to go with a txp. I have a 26 tempest on my stratos with 225 pro xs and it turns 6200 rpms at 78 mph and my 26 txp 3 blade turns 5700 rpms and only runs about 76 but it does carry a load better. The txp 3 blade actually acts like a 4 blade. If it were me I would take that trophy down to Tim and Billy at performance prop and get it blueprinted. It will get you 1-2 mph and your boat will perform better at all rpm ranges.

Is this boat a norris craft? If it is I would try a 27 tempest.

The vee is the model that has a lot of floor space and real small front deck. What model stratos do you have. I have a 1998 295 pro elite with a 2000 225 evinrude ficht on it, I'm running a 25 renegade 4 blade. As far as I know the engine height on the stratos is all the way down. I'm getting about 65 to 68 on gps, with a lot of chine if I get any faster. 65 to 68 is easy driving, I know you can drive through chine, but I havent learned to do it yet. What I would like to know is if raising the motor up will help with the chine and maybe help me learn to drive better.

The other boat I'm talking about is an older model bullet.

Your motor is too low. If you have a jackplate start raising it in 1/4 inch increments until you gain rpms and not speed or lose water pressure. Most stratos's have a little walk to them but they are manageable. I used to have a 20 SS extreme and that boat had a 295 hull under it. It ran 74-75 with a mercury 225 efi. My current boat is a 200 XL with a 225 pro xs.

Mitch, I have a Bullet 19 Vee. One of the worst boats about chine walking. I changed this & changed that. Finaly I raised my motor & almost all of my chine walk has gone away. You cant mess up as long as you have 15Lbs.psi or more on your gage at WOT. Try it I don't think you'll be sorry. Just mark the spot where your jack plate is & if you don't like it just put it back. Just make sure on the water psi gage! Let us know how it goes.
