Tues. Dog fight results?

They had a dog fight out of HBSP Tuesday night. Looked like a bunch of Georgia boys. What were the results? Also, what was the entry fee and the payout?
Inquiring minds want to know.

It took 12.72 to win. I know the guys who won and are a little upset with dogfight. These boys have been fishing this for at least 3 years and have never had a problem. They have won several and placed in the money quite a few times. After winning tuesday night they became a little upset. The guy running the tournament(i want mention names) but if you fish tuesday nights then you know who it is. when he pays my buddies he then mentions that this year is not a 100 percent pay back and some money goes to a so called fund raiser, which they were ok with but would have like to known before hand in any changes in the rules. well they start counting there winnings and are $115.00 short. they only got 155.00 total. well these are not the argumental type and was going to let it pass but they were wondering how aprrox 40 percent was going to a fund raiser. well one of them approached the guy and ask. the guy pulled him to the side so know one else would hear and told him it was for a bass club. no we have 2 different answers. then the guy running it said that there were only 11 boats not 13 and he doesnt pay to fish. so that leaves 10 paying boats. 3 were singles and the total purse was 220.00. i have everyone know that i and 2 other buddies fished this and there were 13 boats not the 11 he claims.. well needless to say after hounding and hounding him, he finally admitted there was no fund raiser and he was keeping the money to pay himself to run the dogfights this year because no one else wanted to run them. heck he makes out better then the guys who actullay win. they only got 77.50 each and he got 120.00.

that the most ridiculous thing i have every heard in my life. i can understand if he doesnt pay to fish or takes out say 5%. but 40% is crazy. I will never again fish this dogfight and all buddies are done as well. i advise you to do the same.

im sorry for the long post but figured everyone should know how the guy running the tuesday night dogfight out of hbsp is operating.

hey i was there Tuesday night and i did count 13 boats also. i know the 2 guys who won and they told me the same thing. So pretty much this so called "bass club" fundraiser is aka money in this guys pocket?! Okay it was alright with me that he fished the dog fight for free since he ran it. But keeping 40% for himself is an awfully nice bonus. But I too will no longer be fishing that tournament on Tuesday nights any more!

That sounds like one you might want to miss. I have never heard of the guy that runs a tournament paying himself 40% to put it on. emoAngry Someone needs to ring his bell. Let that out at the next one and see who all stays to fish it. It is one thing to not pay to fish it if you put it on but that is rediculus. emoMad Jmax

I'd love to JSV, but its tough to get from downtown to Ooltewah and over to Soddy by 6:15 or 6:30. Its all I can do to make to Chester by 6:15 on Mondays.


Wow, I didn't know that guy was running such a shady tournament on Tuesdays. You dont have to worry about him getting any of my dough, if its the same guy from years past, he wouldn't let me fish anyway. You know I'm such a freakin' ringer!

Well, definitely won't be fishing that one. That's one of the most asinine things I've ever heard. It's one thing for a Tx Director to fish free for putting it on, but $120 in HIS pocket just for running the thing? No thank you.

I THOUGHT VERY HARD BEFORE MAKING THAT POST BECAUSE DODNT WANT TO CAUSE ANY FEELINGS TO BE HURT. BUT THE MORE I THOUGHT ABOUT IT THE MORE I THOUGHT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW SO THEY DONT END UP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IF IT WASNT SUCH A DRIVE WE WOULD START FISHING WITH YALL IN SODDY ON TUESDAYS. HBSP WAS ALOT CLOSER FOR US AND WAS EASY TO MAKE IT THERE AFTER WORK.

Why don't one of the popular guys here on the forum start thier own dogfight on Tues at HSB and run this sleaze ball off? Take all his boaters away and he'll have no choice but to quit.
