Tues. night dogfight...7-18-2006

BBass invited me to go fish the dogfight tonight on his new boat, and we didn't have much luck. He started out with a crankbait, and nothing!! Then used plastics, NOTHING! I used the rapala countdown about the whole time, and caught one at the begining and it was no where near being a keeper! We got a few bites through out the time, then on our last spot we fished at, he caught one more, and I caught one more as well it was about a pound and was 14 inches!emoBang Then about the last 5 mins. before we headed back I lost a bass that was well over 15 inches, ugh... It had to jump out of the water with its mouth wide open!LOL~emoBang You know what happened! Well the fish kept jumping everywhere after minnows, but they just would not bite our bait!emoBang But hey, atleast we had a good time! Atleast I did not sure about BBass!LOL By the way the winner had a full live well and his wieght was 7.38 pounds or something like that!

Next time when they are after the minnows like that try throwing a pearl white super fluke.

Kevin and I had a great time out there even though we did nt snag any keepers. His comapny and getting to know him was worth it. If anyone ever needs a partner, I'd recommend him. Really has a passion for this sport!

He did however forget to mention that my first catch was my index finger! I pulled a rod out of the box and a nice , sharp treble hook sank right into it ....DEEP. I thought I'd never get that thing pulled out with out ripping the skin apart! Yea...its sore this morning!!!

I stuck around and talked to the guys after and once again, deep is the trick. Humps and points!
