Lots of public land around to hunt too. Do some research on the old internets to find some places. (hint: look at TVA land around the resevoirs, lots of public hunting)
Also many of the WMA s are open to turkey season without a draw permit. AEDC, Catoosa are two examples.
You may not need to pay if you do a little homework.
