I wrnt to N. Ga. Sat. I had a great time . It was about 30 degrees but the birds were still fired up. I had 3 gobbling before they came off the roost. It wasn't long until I had one strutting . He was about 80 yds. away. Then some hens came in and another long beard came in from behind me and gobbled and scared the crap out of me. He went out in the field and strutted and I could hear him spitting and drumming. Then a hen came over and he bread her. All this happened just out of range. After he got finished with her he went towards the other turkeys and iI got him fired up in about 2 min. It wasn't long til he came in range. I never understood how someone could miss a turkey with a 3 1/2 in. mag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoScratch until today emoBang I missed him I had a head and pattial body shot at about 50 yds. I looked where the shot hit and later shot my gun and it shot high right. I had another one gobbling 15 min after I missed he came in just out of range snd stood there for about 10 min just looking. I had another one come in from another direction I had about the same shot as first one but I didn't want to miss or cripple him. I saw a total of 4 gobblers ,50 to 80 yds away and 3 hens 30 to 80. I never got busted but I have my ducks in a row. I mean turkeys!!!!!!! I know where I'm getting next time and the gun will be right. All and all it was a great morning that the LORD gave me. I love the beautiful creation this time of the year!!!!! I will post pict. next time I get to go. (of the bird) emoHungry
