Turk's closing its doors. Sad day

I've tried going up there last few Saturdays and never got an answer when I called, wondered what was going on. Hate that for them

Really hate to hear that, I have always had good service from them...what's the next best place to go to next?

There's a new shop on McCallie Ave just east of Holtzclaw. I drove by and saw it the other day....
Maybe they're the next great thing.

There are several shops to buy bows from but good luck getting a good tune job at most of them. I shoot a lot of 3D Archery tournaments in local and national shoots. I learned when I started getting serious into it, that I had better learn to start tuning and tweaking my own equipment if I wanted it done halfway right. I liked olé Turk when he had the store but the new guy that took it over...we'll I went in to shoot the new BowTech bows one day and actually really liked one of the bows I shot. But the cold shoulder routine I got helped me decide real fast that I wouldn't be buying a bow from him. And I didn't. I found the same bow a few hundred dollars cheaper somewhere else and got it.

If you guys are near Dayton there's a good shop called The Harvest that sells a few name brand bows, including Elite. I go shoot their 3D shoots. There is a new place over on Spring Creek Rd in Cleveland that sells a couple brands too. They seem like good guys to buy from. Not sure about their tuning work though. I shot the New Elite bows there and they were really friendly. If you want a Mathews, Jeff at Benton Shooters is your goto guy for them. He knows more about tuning the Mathews bows than anybody around. And they have the ASA Pro/Am wins to back it up. I'm not a Mathews fan but if I were to buy one, that would be the place.

I second you daniel on the Harvest Pro Shop in Dayton. Great guys there and they have some great shoots both indoor and outdoor. I just purchased a new Elite Synergy Wednesday from them.

Daniel said it best. I bought my last new bow from Turk before he sold the shop. I didn't really care for the new owner. I ended up buying a used bow a few weeks ago and had Harvest Archery set it up. I really liked the guy and he seemed to know his stuff. They also have a indoor 3d range. I plan on giving 3d a go this year and we be shooting there. +1 for them.

Well I got good service from both Terry and Matt. I always enjoyed doing businss with them and they were quick to take care of me in a pinch. I have become a bow tech fan and hate the idea of loosing Turks. They will both always be good friends.
