Thanks for sharing this, Carl. They are also tryin to close Aetna Mountain from ATV's in March. They are just gonna use the mountain for hunting. They are gonna have an open gate free ride this saturday(the 28th) throught "We Rock". The We Rock gate is located in whiteside. Its a yellow gate. Inside the gate somewhere they are gonna have a petition to try and save the mountain.

Twra doesnt own all of etna mt, its only a small portion of it on the way in. Its hard to believe in the system , when things like this happens, Its already been through the courts that they couldnt close that road because its a public road but every other month you hear someone closing it again. Other people own land on that mt and twra cant restrict those folks from the access to their property.

I'm not sure if it's true or not but, I heard they were going to pave the road behind the old Highway Patrol Station and build a massive sub-division on the mountain????

Twra is not closing aetna mtn. only the 1200 acres that makes up the Cummings Cove WMA because of major erosion and the cab trucks of we rock that have done major damage to the WMA , this is TWRA property not state owned property per say , bought with the money from hunting and fishing license and if this is all the property that we rock has to ride on then they are just out of luck and really lucky that they have been able to charge their members a fee to ride on public property for this long , sorry if I offended anyone but I'm with TWRA on this one !!! I am in no way against off roading , until I hurt my back I enjoyed it myself and if I was still able to I would be enjoying it now...
