I want to float a request for reviews of Ultralight spinning reels. Im looking for something that has many roller bearings in the 60 - 80 dollar range and will hold 125-150 yards of 4lb test or 70 -100 yards of 6 lb test. If you have cranked on crank baits and spinners alot in the past few years with the reel you recomend please tell me. Thanks in advance.

You'll have only one roller bearing located on the bail. Unless a spinning reel has been designed with multiple roller bearings that I'm unaware of, I'd surmise that you want many ball bearings. Really, you only need two bearings for the business end of a spinning reel. One at the rotor and one on the roller. I'm not sure that what you want is an ultralight for that line capacity and price range.

However, a Pflueger Supreme 8030MG weighs 7.4 oz. and falls into an old timer's ultralight category by weight. Its price tag will exceed 80 bucks, yet be barely under $100 less tax. Also, it meets your line capacity requirement.

Im a big fan of UL fishing,,

Im with the others the Pfluger President is the best reel for that price range that ive used, and ive been through a lot of them, you can buy a used on on e-bay for around the 30-35 dollar rang and a new one at the store if I remember right goes for about 59,,

A new one im trying right now that feels really good so far is the cardinal 101 its considerably cheeper but new it feels really good,, vote is still out on how well it will last.. Thats what Alison had the battle with the big fish a couple of days ago and it held up well.. http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=22436&posts=17&start=1

Hope I helped

, a Pflueger Supreme 8030MG weighs 7.4 oz. .

I second the Supreme although slightly out of your price range (at about $99). I also like the Diawa Exceller. My old stand by is the Diawa SS Tournement (1300) but you have flip the bail by hand.

I actually prefer a lightweight but with larger spool sized (2500 shimano or 2000 Diawa) as this will help prevent from getting loops in the smaller size diameter. It also helps with casting distance too.

I have an Abu Garcia 300U that is a very good reel. It only weighs 6.3 ounces, and I believe sells at Sportsmans for 39.99. I have landed several channel cats in the 9-12 lb range with it. Great for the money.
