under armour??????

anybody out there use under armour cold gear? if so what do you think about it, does it really keep you warm? i am thinking about ordering some and was just wondering if its really worth the money?

no walmart sells the same stuff for about 5 dollars, it is just a wicking layer that keeps moisture away from skin. That ladino wool and some hydro fleese you can withstand any cold weather.

Under Armour is great. I don't know about the walmart stuff but Under Armour keeps you very warm. If it gets up to 50 degrees it will burn you up.

5.11 Tactical makes items that are a little better than under armour. I wore it under my body armour and it was awsome. My suggesstion would be to examine the seams and make sure they are flat which makes them alot more comfortable to wear for long hours.

Stay away from that wal-mart stuff the way the seams are sewn they will rub and itch the H#%ll out you. I know from experience.

Under Armour and spandex are not the same. I've been wearing the Cold Gear for two years and have been fishing (interpret boat ride) in some weather in the 20's and couldnt be happier. Coupled with my Arctic lined Carhartts I haven't gotten cold yet.

I'm a fan of it. It's a great base layer and when layered properly, you will stay warm no matter the temps

If you're wanting it for warmth, go with the compression to wear under your heavier clothes. The loose is great gear for early season warmer weather activities.

I wear it and it is great for fishing but cant tell the diff when i am hunting what i am saying is if you are doing stuff and moving around it will keep you very warm but when you are sitting in the tree stand i cant tell the differ.

Compression for layers, you'll never even realize its on.

Don't know about Under Armour, but I've got my 2nd set of Red Head Polar Techs and they will flat out burn you up if your not careful! I wear the silks, for the moisture wicking {and my delicate skin of course} and then the Polar Techs. Good stuff! About $50 for the silks and $80 / $100 for the Polar Techs depending on the size.

its definitely worth the money. i have the compression fit cold gear top and bottom. just ordered the baclava and gloves for this year, so i'll test them out this year.

It is warm, but we bought something named Rocky last year at BPS that we liked better. Cheap and warm.
