I hope to come down Sunday evening and fish Monday and Tuesday and this will be my third trip this year and the last one I can make before fall. I enjoy your lake but it has a learning curve it seems. I have looked around using the Contour Elite mapping software and basically decided that I will fish some main and secondary points that are in proximity the spawning flats. I will throw top water early ..(is a popper a good bait on the Chick?) and a shallow crankbait. Midmorning according to how much sun we have I will move to a t rigged worm and a 8 to 12 ft crankbait. and a shakey head. I am assuming the fish have not pulled out to the channel ledges. Does that game plan sound reasonable or am I a month behind the fish? emoScratch

Try a hollow body frog around cattails in about 2 foot of water or in what little emerging grass you can find its there i like to swim a jig around sub. Cattails too they will absolutely kill a swim jig right now

Thanks Rusty..I wondered... and because I don't get a "lot of time of the water" it seems that often I am behind the fish and have not learned the lake well enough to make the adjustment...

They are in all stages at this time....just locate is a timing thing...fish a mile for 1 & then suddenly 50 yards will produce a 30 lb bag..............
