guys and gals, it's been a while since i gave an update, but i still get pm's from folks asking how dad is doing. first off, i cannot thank y'all enough for the thoughts and prayers. it really means a lot to me to know that total strangers are worried about my family's well being and keeping them in your prayers. where else on this crazy internet will you find a group of folks so great? nowhere, so don't bother looking.
and for the new people on here, this is what makes this site so great. the fishing reports i think is second to the fellowship and friendships created on here. also for the new folks, dad fell back in late feb. while taking down a ladder stand. he broke his pelvis into 6 pieces and nearly froze to death waiting for someone to come look for him (take a cell phone with you). reconstructive surgery and a lot of rehab later...
he is doing much much better. he is still improving and healing, and will continue to do so for some time yet. he can walk without a limp and gets around just fine. he is hunting again, and can slowly climb his ladders again. he gets sore fairly quickly but from where he was earlier this year to where he is now is amazing. he can even get back on the golf course on occasion, though he says he has a terrible slice because he can't swing his hips through the golf swing. it is amazing what the good Lord has done for him and I am very grateful for the thoughts and prayers from all of you. Thank you again.
