RE: Don't plan to use the locks

I hate to tell them.....but it wouldn't require the "locks" for major destruction. Think about it.

RE: Don't plan to use the locks

I believe the restriction is for "foot traffic" i.e. people watching boats go through the locks? Could be wrong since they do not specify in the article. However, at the end it states that guided group tours are still allowed.

RE: Don't plan to use the locks

Still seems odd to suspend general public access but not locking through? I have never locked through or visited by foot. Before the suspension could you just walk up to the lock?

rsimms - Congratulations on the engagement and impending wedding. I worked with your "future" son-in-law Ross.

At some Locks, yes, you could once just walk to the edge and watch folks lock thru.

Thanks for the "Congrats!" I'm trying to turn Ross into a fisherman. ;)
