Got out on the water about 6 this evening and it was perfect. No wind, a tad current running, and no waves with everyone getting ready for the game. First toss out I caught a keeper (the only one of the day) in the weeds with a Bladedancer in chart. Then the bite just dried up on top. I switched over to Jmax's favorite worm and began to see instant results. I fished pretty shallow, 2 to 6 feet,in grass and weeds, with water around 82 degrees. LOTS of bait fish but no wolf packs of bass hitting them where I was. Fishing Fire and I managed to end up with 19 fish in a couple of hours. Pulled in at 8 to go watch the game. Wonderful day to be on the lake with a beautiful sunset. Just wish the fish would get on a biting binge!

yeah but I sure would have liked to have had some more keepers in the bunch! and of course there were two of us fishing, even though I caught the most....emoThumbsup

Sounds like a great day to me!! Am envious of anyone that can go out and catch that many in so short of time and still call it a slow day. After the way the ball game turned out - you might shoulda stayed out and caught some more.... asuming your a UT fan. If you're a Florida fan then all went well!!!

Hey there Fishinfool, I am glad the Jmax worm worked for you. It was slow for me on Sunday morning and the Jmax worm was all I could catch them on as well. Sorry to see the Vols get beat. I feel I was 3 of four. Jmax I was amazed at how well that worm did! I went through almost a pack with them tearing the tails off though! I'm sure some of it was bream. As far as the games goes I should have stayed out longer dang it! My heart was beating like a rabbit a couple of times there but UT never pulled it out.
