Fishing Fire and myself and another friend hit the water about noon just too see if we could break the jinx from yesterday. We put in and headed to some weeds and milfoil that we had fished before. BEAUTIFUL day to be on the water. Water was glassy where we were and sunny. When we got close to out spot, from about 200 yards out we could see the bass busting top. We eased into them and began to catch fish right off the mark. LOVE catching them on top water. We caught 11 short fish (13" to 14", AGAIN!) and 2 keepers, not huge but keepers, in the first hour and a half. We were using torpedos, spit-n-image, and blade dancers. Then the wind picked up some and knocked the bite down. We had some red worms left over from a bream trip and decided to try them for a little bit while the wind was up. We caught about 30 to 40 keeper bream and some smaller ones close to the milfoil line. It seems the bass are not the only ones filling up for the winter! Our buddy caught a nice catfish that was about 5 or 6 lbs. The wind began to die back some in about two hours and we started bass fishing again and picked up 7 more fish, again, nice but not keepers. Saw a heck of a lot of boats fishing out where Cory and his buddy caught the winning bag! We didn't go out there but plan to in the near future. If you missed being on the lake today you really missed a wonderful day! We called it a day about 5. By the way, who is the guy in the bright red boat? I think the boat is a Tracker? I know you are CFF but I can't recall your name here.
