This was posted on BBC, don't know the full details he just posted he is upgrading so I assume he means to a 225 or 250 SHO. Might be able to get a decent price on it since it is used.

I am upgrading too. Anyone looking for a 200 SHO with only 64 hours, never one issue, this motor can be had at a bargain price. If interested contact my dealer, Scott Brech at Brech Marine, Selma, AL - 334-875-3484. He's handling the sale for me.

sorry guys for missing this but the motor is not mine. I saw it on BBC and posted it on here so if anyone wanted a SHO for a discounted price this would be a good opportunity. If it was a 250 SHO I would have never posted it and been driving to Alabama to get it for myself. emoSmile

I was wondering the price also. emoScratch Must not be all that cheap....they are not posting it and since it is used there are no rules that it cannot be. If it was a cheaper deal I would think you would not have to call a salesman to get the price. emoRolleyes Jmax

I think it's funny how the say the ago is the lighter an better gas milage an all.. The 250 SHO weighs 505lbs.. Guess what the pro xs weighs.. 505lbs. If you look at the comparsion they do on the SHO website they don't test it against the 250 pro xs in fuel milage an some other things..

Ask anyone who has had a Mercury and changed over to the SHO and all the ones I have talked to say there is no way they would go back to a Mercury. I have been asking around and the fuel mileage is equal or better on the SHO compared to a Mercury. Guys are averaging 4 to 6 mpg on the SHO and the ones that are on the water alot say the biggest difference is not spending 100 plus dollars a month on oil. The SHO's like to be propped big which means lower RPM's at WOT which equates to less fuel burned. When and if I decide to upgrade there is no question what's going on my boat, a SHO.

emoUpsmile No, everything I post is negative. emoBigsmile I would not mind to know the price myself but I am not going to call a salesman just to find out. If my statement was not true, just post the price. emoBooHoo Jmax

Just looked.. They want $12,600 an it weighs the same as a 250 mercury pro xs lol.. (so much for being lighter) I can get a brand new 200 pro xs from jacos for $11,795 with 5 year warrenty..

Yep, I rest my case. I was not trying to be negative but I have been around the block a while, it always seems to be that when you do not post the price and you have to talk to a salesman it is because the price it higher then you might want it to be and their job is to explain why and talk you into paying more. ;) I am sure it is a good engine but as much as I could use a newer one that is more then I want to pay. and yes....I am cheap. haha yea i was wanting to know the price on those new phenix boats some guy was selling and he would not list the price. i asked him why and he said he could not list price. I still do not understand, is it illegal to list the price on something new or used or was that guy just wanting to much money. scam scam scam i think

I really do not believe I would go as far as calling it a scam. emoScratch Like I was saying it is the way of business. If a person is looking for a lesser priced boat or engine, when they have to call about the price, the dealer now knows a potential customer. Even if that person does not buy that one the dealer may have a used one or one of lesser price that they may be able to sell. I was just wondering and not really wanting to waste their time or mine. If they say deal and then are not willing to post the price it is more then likely not that much cheaper or they would post the price knowing someone would jump on it. emoGeezer Jmax
