A Ranger Boat with Hook 7's! Bunch, why would a, nearly $40k, 2016 Z518 Ranger not come standard equipped with dual HDS Gen3's or at minimum one HDS Gen3?!?! And before you even respond with the original owner ordered it that way, I'll bet that particular boat came directly from your dealer overstock inventory... aka The Bunch Demo Boat or one of many showroom floor models! I'm positive those dual Hook 7's are the perfect fit for the average fishermen's needs and look mighty fine as standard equipment on one of those $25k Aluminum Rangers with the modified V hull. When a serious fisherman invests, at minimum $37k, on new Ranger Bass Boat, the electronics that are installed on such a costly top of the line boat shouldn't be subpar, have a limited performance level, or are unable to link to another unit to share data. Why not just go ahead and throw up a Ram Mount on the side of the console complete with a HB Piranha Max that shows returns as the fish symbol on the screen... talk about tournament ready!!!

Scooby doo, that's a very good point that you bring up on the depthfinders. We actually didn't sell this boat new, it came from down around Chattanooga and just got traded in. The issue is always money. With the Hook's being half the price of the HDS's and give some all that they need. This guy isn't a tournament fisherman and actually installed the same units on the 519 that he traded this one in on. I wish that I could say what units come standard on a boat but if I was, I wouldn't be on here. I'd be sitting on the beach somewhere :)

If the boat you're looking at isn't equipped the way your want it, the Bunch folks will make ANY changes you desire for a fair price. You always have the option to special order a rig equipped to your liking from the factory. I've done it both ways and both ways worked fine. Keep up the good work, Michael. I'll take care of the beach sitting!

Excellent point Bunch, just giving you a hard time ! I originally bought 2 Helix 7's when they first came out for an old Tracker I previously owned. While waiting on them to be delivered, I bought a new 2016 Ranger that had a single Mark 5 on the console, wrong. I knew right away that Mark 5 and those Helix units didn't belong on my new toy and upgraded immediately! Love my Ranger, well worth the money!
