So I got a pair of these V-T2 livewell vents.. They are made of high quality durable black plastic and are 3" in diameter. You simply cut a 3" hole in the lids of your livewell doors and slip them in and bolt them down. The way they work is simple. The tube is split in half with a inlet and out let at the top.. You put it in so that the little airflow guide are pointing fore and aft. When you are moving along the water fresh air is pushed in via the fore half and the old gaseous, yes fish emit a slight gas in the water from their breathing, and hot air is exhausted out of the livewell. What this means is fresh cool air equals healthier fish without running your aerator as often. I had fish in my livewell the other day for 4 hours and never turned on any pumps and he was nice and healthy when I took him out. The tubes are very inexpensive at under 50 dollars... and install in less than an hour.. I like the fact that by not running the pumps as much I save juice on the batterys.. The yellow arrows point to the vents and in the picture looking in the live well the 2 arrows point to the fish in there... and the other arrow points to the vent
