After 52 Bassmaster tx's, KVD finally gets win #21! I'm sure it still won't be the last.

No it won't. He was on them all weekend. There were a lot of doubters that had said Van Dam was done. I guess that win puts that thought to bed.

I am not sure how anyone is "done" in fishing. Unless some sort of medical reason occurred I would think fishing skills would not deplete. I guess the pressure of being in a slump might force poor decisions but you would think a guy like Van Dam would be way past that.

He was impressive on the last MLF shows I watched.... that last to first deal was amazing...

Never been a real big fan of any of those guys but I do respect their skills of which I have zero...

I'd like to know how much money he has banked from tournament checks alone while he's been in this "slump" . It's just that hard to win. Competition is getting better every year. There are very few of the pros that I've ever really looked up to, but he's always been one of them. If for no other reason, just how the hell the man's arms haven't fallen off is amazing ! The way he works jerkbaits alone makes me want to ice down my own arms.

I threw a 6xd for about 30 minutes the other day and my arms were getting tired. Probably had alot to do with the reel I was using. But this dude threw a 10xd for most of 4 days of fishing. Not to mention how much he may have thrown it on practice days. Wow!
