Any recommendations on local places to re-cover vinyl seats on the cheap?

DR. Vinyl, he is local and in the phone book. He will come to you and has a van he goes around in. I met him redoing Logans on Gunbarrel. Since then he has done my truck and my wife's SUV. He said his specialty was boats but he could do anything. Older guy, very nice, good and reasonable. emoThumbsup Jmax

Stuff it upholstery in Soddy Daisy, 332-9912 Larry is his name .. does great work and is reasonable .. but cheap and upholstery really don't go together, he does all my upholstery work, and even is doing my personal boat seats.
And he too will come to you, if your local ( Chattanooga Area )

You couldn't possibly love the smell of fiberglass resin in the morning.
Ive done fiberglass work for many years designing and building kayaks. I can remember many times the next morning after a marathon building session that you could smell the styrene on my breath because my body was still metabolizing it. Yuk.
