Everyone,
I've finally decided to sell my Viper Coral 202 Fish N Ski Boat. It is a 2000 model and is in very good condition, more on that later. It has a 2000 model Merc 225 EFI engine that has I'm sure less than 400 hours on it, probably much less. I am the second owner since new and I've owned it since 2004. I specifically looked all over for this model fish and ski because it has the reputation as being the best and is more fishing than ski, although it makes a terrific ski or tube pulling machine. I've always ran mid grade gas, Merc Premium Plus oil, and Quickleen in every tank. Everything works and it runs really good. They only made around 250 of these boats and they have a "cult" following. Look up viper coral on bass boat central. I drove to Dallas TX in 2004 to pick this boat up. It has a MK 72 lb 24V hand controlled trolling motor. I had some back / leg trouble so I liked the hand control motor to take strain off my lower back. I've put a handle extension on it and it works great. I also put a momentary foot switch on it and this system works great. I added a 6" Detwiller jack plate and the boat has a 25P Merc Tempest prop in excellent shape. This boat is very efficient as it has the same hull as the Viper Cobra bass boat with a fish N ski cap. It will cruise at 47 to 49 mph on gps at only 4000 rpm and top end is around 70 mph depending on load. It has a great ride, a 45 gallon live well with timer, rod lockers up front that will handle 7' rods and another locker in the floor that can handle rods, skis and such. I have the ski pylon and braces and also a bimini top for the boat along with a $800.00 dean's canvas custom boat cover. The boat has not sit out in the weather, it is stored under my deck which covers 90% of it and the nice cover takes care of the rest. I had over $8000.00 of work done on this boat in 2012 after it was damaged in the Ooltewah tornado. The walk through windshield was replaced including the frame, the seats were all repaired (just a few small tears), the trailer jack was replaced, the outboard was refinished and painted including new decals. I'm telling you for a 2000 year boat it is sharp as the pictures I'll try to include will show. Why am I selling - as I said it sits under my deck behind my house and is a real pain in the "neck" to get out and put back. I purchased a 17' Lowe aluminum bass boat a couple of years ago that fits in my garage and is real easy to hook up and go so that is what I'm using to fish. I used the Viper only twice last year and only once the year before. Polo has borrowed it the last couple of years around the 4th of July and he can tell you what kind of boat it is. It really does perform great and is the ideal boat for someone who has a family but also likes to fish. This boat has what you need to fish tournaments one day and take the family for criusing and water fun the next. We really enjoyed it but my kids are grown and gone now. I just don't use it so why let it sit? This is to give all my CFF family a heads up before I really start listing it on Craigslist and Bass Boat Central in March. If you are interested please send me a PM. I'm asking $15K or best reasonable offer. Remember over $8K was put into this boat in 2012 with little use since.
