Visitors in town for the weekend

I've got friend in town and want to try and get him on some LM. I'm kinda new to the area and haven't had much luck locating fish since weather has warmed. I've got kayaks so we can get around anybody that can give me a hand on the best area to get to deeper water or on some fish would be a big help. I know weekends with pleasure boaters is not ideal but we don't have much time. Thanks in advance.

When i used my kayak all the time I would put in by Bear Trace Golf Course. You pass Harrison Bay and then Bear Trace on your left, continue down a little and there are a couple pull offs to the left. The first one is where I used to put in all the time. That slough has been pretty good to me. Deep water is close and you can stay near the bank without really worrying a whole lot about boats and you can get to a couple different areas.
Another spot I would take my kayak a lot is Booker T Washigton. Hope this helps.
