With a junior and senior laden team, anything less than a trip to the NCAAs would be a huge disappointment. I like Martin but this team should've achieved more.

I've heard rumors (I do not necessarily believe them) that rehiring Bruce Pearl is possible when his "Show cause" term is up.

Yeah I expected a lot out of this group this season. Surely Pearl will be back to coaching when his penalty is over, just hope its not anywhere else in the SEC.

yes, they have let a few games slip from them for sure. sometimes they are motivated and alot they are flat,no consistency, i dont think maymon has been the same since he came back either

Glad to see the Cuonzo era come to an end (hopefully). He reminded me way to much of the Dooley hire never having much success at his previous stop. If Bruce gets hired then great, but whoever Dave Hart hires will be a major upgrade from Cuonzo. Also Aj Davis, Robert Hubbs, and Darius Thompson are great freshman that the new coach will have to build around.

Well the boys are getting hot. Nice win over Mizzou the other night. A deep run in the SEC Tourney would be nice. I'd pick them over anyone but Florida right now.

Some of y'all don't seem to grasp that Bruce Pearl will not be back at UTK as head basketball coach.The old sayin' is....... wish in one hand and poop in the other, then see which fills up faster. UT's biggest problem in the Athletic Dept. was/is/and always will be (until they sh*t-can his sorry ass) Chancellor Jimmy Cheek. Think about it; he is the only constant in this whole debaucle that started with Fulmer's firing. Cheek is responsible for Fulmer, Kiffin, Pearl, and Dooley. Maybe he oughta run for President in 2016. 'Nuff said.

I'm a Vol football fan from way back (in the 50's), but I don't give a hoot about the men's bb program. Sorry, just don't like BB. I will watch a little bit of March Madness, but never a full game. I do watch the Lady Vols for about 1/2 most times. They are inconsistent. Too bad that Pat got sick. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Maymon and Stokes have stepped up this year, as well as others. I really liked Pearl alot, and thought he got the shaft, but I'm fairly certain he ain't commin back. Lady Vols just keep playing hard under Holly, but I miss Pat also. DK, I expect them to make it into the E-8, but doubt they'll get much further.

They have had a nice run against terrible teams. The SEC is really really bad this year. They play Florida in the second round in the SEC, so there won't be a deep run there. </p>

I guess I will disguise myself and get on the bandwagon. Martin has them playing very well now. Stokes is a man among boys.

the difference????!!!! well a couple things but the biggest thing to me is the fact that TN is hitting free throws and no one else is! it really is a lost art. Maymon and stokes are hitting 70+ % in the Tournament. Stokes is putting on the floor with such confidence right now that he either makes it or draws a foul. he is actually a scoring threat and Richardson scoring has made the team a 3 headed monster.

the thing that scares me the most is that the vols made several 3's last game and you just know they will start jacking them every trip down the floor. let's hope not!
