There is a vote on banning hunting and fishing in TN on the ballot if you check yes that is ok if you do not check anything it will automatically be counted as a no vote

They will never ban hunting and fishing in TN, too much money to be made of the licenses and gear sold. I can't believe it's even on there, I guess PETA had something to do with it being there in the first place...... emoBang

Sorry to make my first post on the forum to be political, but I think I need to speak up on this. The item in question on ballot is not intended to ban anything. It is the polar opposite of that. The line item on the ballot is for ammending the state constitution by giving each and every state citizen a "right" to hunt and fish in TN. As it stands now, any single legislator can write a bill to ban any or all hunting and fishing in the state. It would only requre a majority of votes at the state level to get that bill signed into law. Then we all would be SOL. With so many animal rights groups pushing money and influence to these legislators it is a wonder it hasn't already happened. One anti-hunting/fishing legislator, angry about someone trying to fish around "his" dock by his mult-million dollar home on the shore of "his" lake, could push a bill through to ban it all with just a little assistance from his cronies before we were hardly aware.
Since the required simple majority (50% of the vote plus 1) is all that is needed to pass, if you don't vote "yes" it is automatically counted as a "no". Tell everyone you know about it and don't leave it blank.
Sorry for the length, but, damn it makes my blood boil. Get out and vote and please vote "yes" for the right to hunt and fish in this great state from now on.

Its true...its on the ballot. I voted last week in the early voting.....please be SURE you vote yes to pass an ammendment to make it a RIGHT to hunt and fish !!!!!

We did this same thing in Georgia a few years back. Before it became a right to hunt PETA would disrupt hunts all over the state. After it became a right they got arrested for disrupting the hunts. They went away. Very good thing.

i was on some ballot website late last night, there are several states facing the same issue,i noticed that alabama only had 700 some total votes on this issue, man that's scary, it was not looking good for AZ. i think this kinda crap just indicates how much bull they have pulled over on us that the average american like myself doesn't even know about....
