The latest edition of the In-Fisherman magazine "WALLEYE IN-SIDER" (February 2008, page 18) lists Watts Bar Reservoir as a Top Pick for the South for walleye. They suggested to check out the rubble banks on the reservoir's south end.

It would be good to hear some reports of Watts Bar walleyes. It may be that those guys catching them just aren't as forthcoming with their info as we are.

I`ve been fishin WB for over 30 years and the only walley I`ve ever seen caught was about 300 yards below Loudon dam. And I`ve never heard of anybody fishin` for them on WB. I figure the couple caught up at Loudon Dam locked thru from Tellico. They do have a fair fishery up close to the Chilhowee Dam on Tellico.
Norris Lake is the best known fishery this side of Dale Hollow. Way up the Rivers on Norris in the winter and down lake at nite on points in the summer.
Not saying they ain`t on WB...I`ve just never heard of it.

I've been fishing watts Bar lake for about 45 years, and I've never seen a walleye caugh any where on the lake. But, if they are to be caught, I would sure like to be the one doing the, "catching".....emoBigsmile

One of my best friends on the Walleye Trail up in MN said those guys are talking smack... They probably came to film a show, or visited... taking some local's word for it and used it to fill pages. It's my thinking that's the case. When's the last time you had a local guy give you a "straight up" report until you knew him better??? I vote, Myth BUSTED!
