Looking for small lightweight 1 7/8" ball trailer for 16ft Jon Boat , looked on Craigslist .. didnt see anything that wasn't way to big.. anyone that knows someone give me a shout out anywhere in the North Ga, Chattanooga, Cleveland etc

This is kinda a long shot. But, I did some work on a house in Red Bank on a street that I think was California (not sure) It's next to the Taco Bell on Dayton Blvd-on the north side.
Go up the hill and look for a house for sale on your left (maybe 5 houses up) There was a john boat trailer in the back that looked salvageable- could likely get it for free.

humm thanx for the tip .. Ill run down there tomorrow and see if still there,

I bought a 16 ft Landau aluminum jon boat that came with a trailer but was way too big and heavy for the boat.. My father in law was looking for a trailer to haul stuff on .. and I was looking for a boat .. so we split the cost guy wanted 650 was on craigslist, but the boat had been hit or fell off the trailer on the road somewhere.. anyway I talked the guy down to 300 for boat and trailer.. he had several people come see it .. and no one else I guess could see beyond the bend and roughness.. a little elbow grease and little time with a welder , and some cleanup will be good to go .. trailer was worth the 300 the boat was basically free lol .. so he got the trailer for 150 and I got a good size jon for 150

I have one for a 16' bass boat in good condition for $250 it has a 2" ball Call if interested Bob 423-334-8077
It was for a 1978 Monarch

I hope you put that boat in the water before you bought it. I drove all the way from Cookeville to look at it after the guy assured me it didn't leak, when I backed it into the river water was coming up from the first couple of ribs like a water fountain. The story on the dent is the guy that owned it previously kept it on the water, it got loose one night and a jet ski ran into it.

I looked it over very well.. and Im well aware of the leaky parts lol .. He said didnt leak .. but can see the holes .. Im not taking it out until I weld up the holes and and fix the back corner, and the bent side ... yea I heard the story about the just ski... but trust me jet ski didnt do all that unless it was a jetski the size if a car.. the trailer if you didnt notice the wheel sat back on the same side as the damaged side of the boat .. the spring mount was bent back causing the wheel to almost hit the fender.. that was easy cheap fix .. 12 dollar mount.
My Theory is the boat and trailer ran off the road in a ditch somewhere and the jet ski story was givin to cover up the other real story .. unless Jet Skis drive on land.. hover craft maybe lol .. any way got the whole deal 300 bucks the boat is worth prob 200 scrap , and so the trailer was still worth the cost .. The boat you will hardly notice the damage in a few weeks with a new rail section and new rear corner brace and a few welds to fix the incompetence of the guy trying to fix the damage

Oh and if you backed the boat in with trailer.. one leak for sure came form the damage side where a 1 inch gash is at the rear seat the seat gouged the alum made a hole when what ever happened to it occurred, but the bottom of the boat holds water fine lol at least 4 inches after all the rain Friday Night
