Wanted: casting rods

Im trying to teach my son.....and myself...how to use a baitcaster. I just bought a couple of baitcasters on ebay and now i need two casting rods. I dont know how well he will like a baitcaster and dont want to tie up alot in the rods. If anyone has some old rods you would part with kinda cheap let me know. Thanks!
