Wanted: Fruit tree wood. Apple, citrus, peach for smoker

Need to fire the smoker up so I am looking for some different woods to use. Apple or any citrus, lemmon, orange, ect is great. Nut wood is good, but fruit is better! </p>

Let me know what youhave. </p>

This seems hard to come by I work in the grilling business and we have people looking for this all the time...We used to carry apple chunks for smokers but we are forced to buy so much at one time it just isn't profitable..

Spur, I can get you all the hickory wood that you want, it is in small blocks and it is green.I will look around for some apple.

SPur I can not get fruit wood, but I have a ton of Hickory, its not green, its been curing for over a year, it is prime. That goes for anyone else who might need some. Cut a big Hickory last year and have been saving the wood, love that smoker.

It's a fruit tree, not sure of the correct name but I have been eating them and feeding the cows with the ones that have fallen. Not many logs per say just starting to trim the tree limbs back, it's getting out of hand.

Eric I have an apple tree that is so loaded with apples this year that some of the limbs have broken. Nothing above 4" in diameter but you are welcome to it when I trim the tree after the apples are all gone. I also have a pear tree with the same senario and will be trimming it also, will just be 2-3" limbs on it.

Spur I sure wish you had made this post about this time last year. I got tired of fighting the fire blight on the pears, the brown rust on the peaches, and the cedar apple rust on the apples and the drought on everything and cut down 11 apple and 4 pear trees to make mowing easier. Cut the wood up into chunks I could handle and hauled it off. I didn't think about anyone wanting it for smokers, my mistake emoRedface
