WANTED: VHF Radio

Before I buy a new radio I just wanted to see if anyone here had an old handheld sitting around in the garage. I don't need distance, I have a cell phone for that. I need something for close-range communication.

I have an older model long range radio that I took off of my boat in my garage somewhere. Do you still need one? If so, how much are you wanting to spend?
