Going northbound on 153 this am and just on the north-side of the dam there was what appeared to be a black police cruiser on the right shouder. Had dark tinted window and flashing blue lights visible thru the glass across the rear deck above the back seat and on the front dash. At first I thought unmarked car - but it looked to be an at least 10+ year old Chevy Caprice (from around the time they first went to the more rounded body-style), the lights had a sort of cheap look about them. I then thought well maybe its one of these rent-a-cop security company types but as I passed I noticed it had an old-style, "civilian" type license plate - the type that they quit giving out in 2005 or 2006 - so it was probably at least 2 years out of date.
Nothing logically added up - so I called Chatt PD with a description (unfortunately I went by too fast to get a license number - but given age of the plate - who knows if that would have done anygood).
May be nothing - especially since it would be hard to imagine someone having enough nerve to pull that type of stunt on 153 during morning drive-time, with potential for so many real police around - but I know that they've busted folks in the past for impersonating officers.
