Well here we go again! TT, I dont think this is our buddy but I think he is out there! These are some of the latest pics since refreshing the batteries in my camera. Folks these are Hamilton County residents, proves big deer roam everywhere! enjoy!

Any bets on how many points this one will end up with? If its the buck I think it is, he had a basket 8 last year.

WOW ... amazing pictures Churly!!! I've never seen the antlers in progress! Wonder if that hurts!

I will say 12 for this guy. Very cool ...

I had thought I would do the knee mail on your behalf this year for our Big Boy. But .. seeing these pictures I may have to re-think that.

You haven't moved your camera have you. That last pic looks identical to one or two you posted last year (except for the antler size). I hope he grows, and grows... and you get him this year.emoEnforce

That is a 14 1/2" inside spread Eight pointer.  Nice Buck Churly.  I hope you harvest that one with your bow before the gun tottin' kid in the neighborhood behind you shoots him.

Mr. Simms you are correct. That camera has not moved since I chained it to the tree last year. Just put new batteries in it last weekend and batta bing!

I'll continue to post pics as their grow their horns.

Does anyone know if growing antlers hurts???

TT

Dont think it hurts but I know that bucks in velvet will take special precautions to keep from bumping the antlers while in velvet, I'm sure that those horns are sensitive while they are growing. Did you know...Deer antlers are the fastest growing bone known to man, they can grow at a rate of 1 inch per day in the peak of the growing season. I guarantee you will be able to tell a difference when I download the next set of pics!

Yeah thanks Churly ... it looks like wacking them on trees and limbs might cause some grimacing! I love the trail cam pics. Thank you for doing that and taking the time to post em.

Deer ... or Churly? Emie Meanie Mininie Mo ... still don't know!

TT

I think he'll be a 17inch 6 pointer. I would be proud to take him, but he still looks young. If there's a way to let him go another year, I would. But if he's fair game to others, I'd wack him!

On my way home from bowling last night I came through the Volunteer Site ... right before Hwy 58 I was flocks of deer. I counted 9 ... different sizes .. all grazing around 7:20 PM. It was an amazing site. Then over by Wolftever, on the hill past the parking lot on the right going north, 2 more deer eating at 7:30, at the paint ball field on the left of Hwy 58 between Ramsey and Ramsey Town .. saw 3 more deer, 7:33. I have never seen that many deer out chomping down dinner.

My husband said they were all out eating before the rain. I'm thinking ... really? Why do they care if its raining or not? Not like they can go home and watch tv. But I'd have to say .. we have a TON of deer around here.
