i stopped and got gas in one of my tanks on my boat, and after i ran it a couple of miles the engine started to cut out bad and when i would take off it would take along time to get on plane.i switched over to the other tank and within a coule hundred yards the engine started to run normal again.so i suspect that the gas that i got has water in it.my question is are there anything i can add to the fuel to remove the water, would seafoam do this,or do i need to drain the fuel.if so how would be the easiest way to drain the fuel from the tank.

Danny,
I wouldn't run it. The thing with water is it is thicker than fuel, that is why it goes to the bottom and is heavier. A 2 stroke it gets it oil from the fuel. Water can not pass through the jet as quikly as water and It can actually lean a engine out to the point of damage. You risk it. In a car it is ok. Just my opinion....

If you want to run it up to the house with some gas cans, I have a evacuator that will pull it out. I have to remove fuel all the time. It works great.

Fischrod,
I seen your truck at the ramp yesterday. I started to leave you a note to say hi...

thanks James,im not going to take a chance on doing damage to the engine for a few gallons of gas so i will try to get it drained out,if i cant i will take you up on your offer.

wouldnt hurt to run some sea foam after it is drained and you put some new fuel in it

I usually pull out the sending unit and tilt the boat to make the fuel run to one corner, then suck it out. Just let me know.

Just wait until Obama mandates E15. None of the 2-strokes are made for it. Lee at Fish-N-Fun said the manufacturers are really nervous about this possibility.
