Water level 3/29/2007

Did it seem to anyone else that the water was about 1" lower today than yesterday? Iwent to the same area toady at 6:30 that I was at yesterday and while I caught almost as many fish, I just couldn't get the slabs to strike. I caught about 16 Crappie but only 4 made the 10 limit (released them all) My Dad caugh 6 with only 2 being keepers. Although, I got a masive hit and did catch a 4 pound channel cat, which was a LOT of fun on my lil' bass Pro Shops Tiny Lite Ultra light reel. I've never caught a cat on a floated jig... or a jig at all for that matter...

Bet that was fun reeling in that LUNKER CAT.......Water did look down to me also.....

I also caught a catfish on a jig while fishing for crappie this week. I was alot of fun on 6lb test and a ultralight.

That is a really good observation to be able to notice a 1 inch drop in the water level. I didn't think 1 inch would make that much difference.emoScratch . Especially this time of year.

Well, were I was fishing there was a stump just out of the water wednessday. And then yesterday it was about an inch taller. I've always thought that any change in the water could affect them, but now that I think about it it could have been the front coming through...
