Water level at lake Weiss

I was at lake weiss about a month ago. The water level on 12/27/07 was up at least a foot and a half from then, for example the ledge at cowan creek is almost covered with water now. I am not exactly sure if this is correct (memory not to good) but I think the report was 158.6. The crappie were caught on silver buddy.

Hey man, thanks for the Weiss info. I am curious if the birds are there in force yet??? I haven't fished Weiss much in the winter but I have heard that the birds are the ticket as the lake is so shallow the birds are almost always right on the fish. I may go try it in January.
