Water levels on the Chick will reach full pool by Weds.

If any of you wished the lake would go ahead and come on up you are about to have your wish. According to the TVA web site the Chick will reach 682.79 by this Weds. That is actually a little above average normal pool. I would think they will drop it back down when you consider that level is usually not maintained until around mid May. This would be a whole month early. Around the wolf and several feeder creeks there is some flooding going on this morning so there is a lot of water going into the chick right now. emoScratch Jmax

Start scratchin, I am with Churly on this one, they probably will suck it right back down. But it will not be down to where it was three weeks ago. emoThumbsup Jmax

keep in mind, the flow and level are maintained by a software program. that program will work to keep the lake level as close to the operating level as it can.

WE need to be extra careful on the draw down,lots of trees and limbs will be in water. Already had to have prop repair this year,very costly.

Yep they will bring it way up, and wash the banks and draw it back down. Then it goes back up. There will be lots of crap floating around.

It is at low normal pool right now and are not showing going above 682 this morning on Weds. so they did lower the level estimate from yesterday. It is over 681.5 right now which is a level they sometimes will see in the summer. They look to already be slowing down the rise and letting it level off. emoThumbsup Jmax

Yeah be super careful! I think there were a couple of boats last year on parksville that hit a log in the water floating. It flipped the boat and threw everyone out.

They will bring it down some, but it seems a little late to do the complete flush out they normally do.

682 this morning so you are looking at full summer pool. They are releasing about 36,000 cf right now so it will be going down. How far we will just have to wait and see. emoScratch Jmax

TVA website is currently projecting a steady drop of 1.5 ft, down to 680.76 by 4/12.
