Got a big 1000 gallon tank that I'm wanting to put water in and I'm looking for a reducer where I can hook a hose pipe to it. Does anyone know what I need? I'm not sure of a better way to describe what I need.

What material are you working with? And, is the hose to be a drain? You can acquire a drain tap that inserts into a drilled hole. The kit has the seals and hardware;

I put a stainless tap in a huge metal tank that catches water for my Tomatoes... For you to understand the concept, you can look inside a cooler that has a drain. you will see the tap has a seal and a nut on the inside. Whatever size you find you can adapt it to any thread patter. I installed a good gate valve on mine then the hose. I found a 1" rubber hose and slid it onto hose adapter at the valve. Works great...

the reason I asked of your material, A standard hose bibb with fender washers and a rubber washer plus a nut that fits the pipe thread of the back of the hose bibb may be all you need.

if your material of your tank is thick you can use a short galvanized pipe nipple with a straight or elbow fitting on the inside with a washer and seal then another fitting on the outside spaced out with as many washers/spacers as needed to pull fittings secure and water tight. Do you need more help?

Its got a valve on the bottom so I'm just looking for a piece to screw on the release valve that allows me to hook up a hose pipe to it. Its a 1000 liter plastic tank with the metal cage around it. I found a picture on Google images of what I need but can't find anywhere on the net that has the part. I'm using it to hold water to run a pressure washer off of.

Great.. Get the size and thread pattern and go to any Ace Hardware for an adapter/reducer or hose connection. More info up front would have been nice... LOL

Alright thanks. What I was thinking but wasn't sure if they would have it. Sorry just wasn't sure how to word it when I first posted it.

Figured it out. Went to local electrical and plumbing store and told guy wut I was doin and he fixed me right up. Got a 2" rubber coupler and a piece that looks like a cap but threaded in the center for a 3/4" adapter for hose pipe.
