I have been reading reports for the "G" and Weiss on the same dates. The water temp was reported to be 10 degrees warmer (72) on Weiss than it was on the "G". With the 2 lakes being fairly close and the weather being about the same, how come the water temps are that far apart? Just curious, maybe someone knows something I dont.

The only thing that I could figure out, Josh, is that perhaps the water on Weiss (as it usually is) has mroe color to it than at Guntersville? G'ville runs on the Tennessee River chain, and Weiss is on the Coosa River chain..............so, I don't know if the two river systems are having differing fluctations.

Just an idea. ;)

The G was in the high 50's yesterday.Maybe the wind has something to do with it(turning over the water maybe).Doesn't it stay pretty windy on the G most of the time?

I havent been on the "G" one time that it wasnt pretty windy, last wed. and thurs. was extremely windy, I have my battery fall over and bust 2 aerator pumps and my back seat blew off while running. lol ... Im sure the color has a lot to do with it NWGA, I didnt really consider that, but good point!

Over the years of fishing Weiss, if you ever find water where you can see down 2 ft., you have extremely clear water. It seems, though, that the water gets clearer and clearer as the years pass, which I don't rightly understand. That's the main reason why I love Weiss so much, and suck so badly on clear water bodies.....................Weiss has color.

It could be a lot of things, though.
