Watts bar 11/22/2006 stripper

Joe "bowlerguy" and I went to watts bar this am , saw a bunch of CFF members. Caught several small stripers on jigs, under 5 lb. Joe got a 12 lb. striper ,he caught it on a carolina rigged rapala minnow with 3 oz egg sinker, casting it in boils by turbins. had some mechanical problems ,but got that sorted out ,normal for a 31 year old boat and motor. IT WAS SUCH A PRETTY DAY, you all should have been out there.

Way to go, Tileman. Sorry for the boat trouble, but you did get it sorted out and back to fishing. It is good to see some of the smaller stripers show up. That bodes well for the future. I was so proud of everyone that I saw up there. I didn't see anyone run through the fish. One other boat stayed up high and drifted about 50 yards and ran back up to the turbines over and over, but that didn't bother the fish that we found. We caught most of our fish not far from the power lines. I'm just not hooking up much up high yet.
