First off, here are the pics from Saturday at the Bar. My 3 lb largemouth:

Now for the report on Tuesday. My wife and I headed back to Watts Bar to try for a little mess of crappie for my grandpa. We went after I got off work and didn't make it to the lake until around 5 in the evening. The water was calm with a few fisherman out there already. I more the less picked up in the same spot we left off at on Saturday. Fishing in Rowden Branch area. I made a quick run by some shallow stumps and didn't get bit. But I decided to troll my way out of that slough and into the area we caught the fish at on Saturday. I picked up two fish trolling and then we hit the little hump the fish were on Saturday. My wife then started in on the crappie while I was feeling my way for another big bass or two. She caught a nice one just that went 1.9 on the scale and then proceeded to get two more similar sized ones. I stopped bass fishing and we started crappie fishing. The fish were in the same general area but we had to compete for the spot. We got spotted by another boat and they more the less tried to root us out of the way.

We put a couple more in the boat from that spot, and when the action slowed we left to go try trolling a bit in the area I caught the two in earlier. And picked up a few more trolling.

Now the lures we used were 1/16 and 1/8 oz jig heads with 3" grubs. Lime sparkle & red/charteuse. The fish we are catching are holding in around cover in 8-12 feet of water. Every now and then we get a stray one or short one fishing up in the shallow stumps but nearly all of our 1 1/2 to 2 pound fish are coming from the deeper water. Here's another thing to think about. Saturday all the fish we caught were females with eggs. Tuesday 3/4 of our fish were MALE fish and only a few were females. We wound up with 11 and stopped fishing early or we could have had more. We were only there to get a mess for my grandpa and a little for us. The shortest keeper we had came to the end of the board on my Frabill crappie measure thingy. All the rest would have been longer than the device.

Water temp was in the low 70s when we were there.

Here are my wife's biggest two:
