put in at Rockwood's Tom Fuller Park and fished on the main river around Thief Neck Island. Caught some good fish with 9 keepers and the biggest two are in the pics. My fishing buddy caught his smallmouth on a chart/gold willow SB. I caught most of my fish on texas rigged lizard including the one in the pic. All around good day on the breezy side with water temps around 60 degrees. Fish caught in 2-10 ft of water

Nice fish jon. emoThumbsup Both of them look nice and fat. Good to hear the temps are coming up there. want to get up that way soon and hoping to catch a couple as nice as that. Thanks for the report.

Hey jon good post, you got the same problem I do, even a really nice bass up side me looks a little small.emoLaugh It has to start hitting the huge size before it looks big up side me. That is a very good looking samllie, how much did it weigh? I need to trade a couple chick trips LM down my way for a couple small mouth trips up your way. They are down here but very scattered and hard to target.emoCool Jmax

the smallie weighed about 5 lbs according to the measuring tape that has approximate weights on it.

Jmax, it would be an honor to show you some smallie holes for some of them holes on the chick. We just went around Theif Neck and hit the gravel banks with current(wind or generation). There are alot of good rock piles around that area.

Nice pix jtf. That fathead you're holding has either been eating VERY well, or she's about to go on bed.

The water looks up too. True?

Fathead!?! Come on .. can't you come up with some nicer names for the girlie fish? Like "What a great Fleshette", or "nice looking Bassarenia" ... "What a B3" ... for big beautiful bass! Something so glorious and sought after should have a better name than the ones I seen here!!!

Fathead ... toad ... hawg ... those ARE complimentary names TT. The only derogatory fish name is the dreaded "S" word ... you know ... S-L-I-C-K. Ugh. Horrible. Horrible I tell ya'! I gotta go wash my mouth out with soap...

The water is up, but still lacks about a foot and a half. I drove by Ft. Loudon, and it looked to be at full pool.
