Watts Bar 6-20 Bass

Got a late start, put in at Rielly Creek at 0930. Shot over to a rocky point with a good drop on it. Lost a keeper smallie at the boat. I cursed.....a lot. Then caught a short LM, and a flathead cat. All on a Sweet Beaver on a 1/4oz shakey head. Then we decided to go hit a spot with some laydowns on steep banks. Caught another handfull of short LM's on t-rigged worms and lizards. Big ol thunderstorm blew us off the lake at 2pm. Prolly should have stayed on the point but we had caught some good fish off the laydowns in the past. Oh, well. Maybe the big'uns will come next time.

Is that the point with the osprey nest? That cove has been good to me in the past. I have caught alot of fish off the boat ramp at the campground.

Dunno bout the nest, its the one with the house with the palm trees by the waters edge.

I have done well on that point as well. The one I was talking about is on the way out from the boat ramp. It is across from the two islands before the house with the palm trees. If you get up this way again, let me know and I can show you some spots around there. My in-laws live in the cove before the park, so I have spent alot of time fishing the area.
