Plans were to fish Friday night but after we got up there and seen that monsoon we elected to wait till Saturday morning .We were scouting for a tournment thats next weekend and trying new spots . Started down low and caught
several small bass on c-rigs and tex rid worms on a main lake hump . Moved around till we finally caught a keeper smallmouth on a pig and jig . Two cast later got a double on a dd22 . And what a double ! One weighted over 4 lbs
and the other around 3 lbs. I guess that was the reason it was fighting like a catfish . After that we started hitting deep points with two more over 3 lbs on c-rigs lizards . It was a real good day for the Bar . Learned alot !

good report TR19, hope the pattern holds up for your tourny next weekend. I went out in the monsoon and had one fish that went three lbs and one that was barely a lb, so I don't think you missed a whole lot exceptemoRain

I hope they are still there too . We didn't get bit alot but the ones we get were quality bites . I lost a good'en on
one of RR's jigs . Never felt the bass but he sure liked to have jerked the rod out of my hands . Remember where
you said you was going Thursday evening , it was in the next slough down going upriver .

The bass, and whites are schooling on the Emory pretty good, They always do it early there for some reason. It won't be long till they start schooling all over the lake.

Seen some down low but it has been a hit and miss deal . I did see a good school of smallmouths around Sand Island . Had one on but she tossed the crank back at me . Looked to be over 3 lbs .
