Watts Bar 8-18-06

Started in the mid-lake area on a main lake point throwing a crankbait that I painted . Hooked a toad and lost it at the boat . Later during the night in the same area I caught several smallmouth that went 17 3/4 and a few smaller ones on spinnerbaits and redshad worms . No keepers . It was a nice night to fish anyway .

sounds like some of my recent trips...no keepers. I also went Friday night for a little while and caught some slicks, then Saturday night, I took a friend and his wife, and she hooked one about three lbs and let it get near my prop and cut the line.
