After reading the last couple of posts from JTF and Tr19, I'm real embarrassed to post mine but feel I should share. I had a small club tourney Saturday night and we launched out of Kingston City park and blasted off at 7 pm. Fished until 3 a.m. and I only managed four fish, two keepers. Two fish off a spinnerbait before dusk and two fish on a red shad worm after dark with one keeper from each lure. Both fish totaled 5.68 lbs with one being 3.68. That fish was the big one for the tournament. I ended up in third overall. First had a little over 8, second had a little under 6 and then me. So I got some of my gas $ back. JTF's right about the willow flies in ths shields bar area of the lake. I still have probably hundreds of those things in the bottom of my boat. The bluegill were jumping clean out of the water to get them in some areas. I figured that commotion would trigger the bass but if it did they weren't falling for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, chatterbaits or a sammy. Fun to watch though. Saw several ospreys with fish which was like throwing salt into my wounds. They are much better at catching fish than I am.
