Watts Bar 9/17/06

Wanted to fish the Emory and Clinch for the first time but the fog suggested I put safety first. So, I ran cautiously across the Bar and fished a rocky bank near Caney Creek. Since I am partial to crankbaits, I was throwing a medium diving Bandit in abot 8 fow and hook a nice LM but failed to boat it. Five minutes later I hooked another LM off the rocks. It weghed about 2.5 lbs. It was missing a one inch portion of its gill plate... birds I assume. Ended up cathching two more, both nonkeeper SM. Fished from 8am to 1pm. Nice day! I am beginning to like the Bar!

thanks for the report Cinti. I think you will like both the Emory and Clinch Rivers, but just be careful and don't run out of the channel on plane. Let me know when you are going up there and I will show you some areas.
