Well I put in at Ladd's landing and went up the Emory this afternoon. I ventured into a couple of creeks to see if the bass were in the backs yet, and were they ever. I was fishing in two feet of water and could see schools of bass chasing the shad. Most were a pound or under, but they were everywhere. I caught at least a couple dozen on a clear torpedo, and my partner caught about the same on an 1/8 oz chrome trap. It was amazing seeing the school of fish and then watching them attack the torpedo. For some reason, the fish would not touch the spook jr. Water was as low as 63 and as high as 71. clarity was 2-3ft
